As Christmas gets ever closer and the holidays move into full gear, this week we have a plethora of new features and changes to spruce up the fun - it might even blow your Christmas socks off!

2023 /advent Calendar

Keeping with the Cosmic tradition, this year, we’re releasing the all new /advent calendar… but with a twist! Instead of gifts for each day of the month, you will now be able to unlock progressively more items for the 12 Days to Christmas! The closer to Christmas Day, the better the prizes you will receive!

Once unlocked, remember that the Christmas Day gift varies depending on how many gifts you’ve claimed!

New Additions

As we continue to carry the Cosmic torch, this week we’re bringing changes to many aspects of the game from bases, to loot tables and bringing cannoning up to speed! We read every suggestion so if there’s something you’d like to see not on this post, submit one on our Discord!

Beach Ball /block

We know placing sand when you’re raiding is that annoying aspect no-one likes. With this custom block, those dark days are over! For the small, small price of 3x sand cost, think of this beach ball as Santa’s little helper this Christmas - except… forever!

/autobuy (aka /printer)

So your troubles placing sand are over, but what about building the cannon itself you may ask? From today, you’ll be able to access 4 Auto Buy /toggles that will keep any block from the /shop category topped up to its max stack size. So long as you have the auto-buy feature enabled, and at least 1 of the block you need in your inventory, the days of spam opening the /shop are also… over!

Jackpot Changes

Ever won the /jackpot to find out that you alone contributed over 50% of the tickets, feeling more like a /coinflip than a lottery? From today:
 

• Players will be limited to purchasing a maximum of 10% of total tickets sold.
  • This means that you may have to wait for others to buy tickets before you can buy more.
• Increased the payout tax from 10% to 25%
  • Uncle Sam needed more tax dollars to fund those /envoy money notes!
     

/f afk Spawner Limit

Based on great community feedback, we’ve decided to tinker with the spawner limits in relation to how much you make with the /f afk system.

• Each spawner type has had its limit increased by 200%
  • This means snowman spawners have increased from 150 → 450
• Each additional spawner over the previous limit, will be 50% effective.
  • So, 450 snowman spawners in 1 chunk will act like 150 snowman spawners in 2 separate chunks.
  • Money printer still go brrrrrrr but not BRRRRRRRR.

QoL Updates

Throughout the week we have been adding updates to make your experience more enjoyable and easier. Here are some of the updates:

1. Factions are now limited to holding only 1 outpost or stronghold at once.
2. Water/Lava will no longer destroy redstone, repeaters, comparators, torches, buttons and levers when flowing.
3. Increased the maximum piston limit per chunk from 80 → 256
4. Removed the maximum sand stack limit completely
5. TNT is now limited to traveling 4000 blocks in any direction before despawning.
6. Players will no longer see Ping requests from /block’d players.
7. CosmicClient Ping Allies
   1. Added support to /battle Royale and /tournaments.
   2. Added /block support so you will no longer see pings from players you have blocked.
8. Reduced the Gen Bucket placement cooldown after creeper explosions in the chunk from 30 minutes → 1 minute
   1. TNT explosions are still 30 minutes
9. Added cosmicreborn.net as an alternative connection method that may help users who are having connectivity issues.
   1. CosmicClient will NOT work when using this method.
       

Bug Fixes

A huge shoutout to all the players who reported all these bugs. You’re making a huge difference for everyone on the server. Here is a complete list of the following fixes:

1. Fixed /chestsearch not working correctly for double chests.
2. Fixed Madness Modifier CosmicClient timers disappearing when starting a new room.
3. Fixed some minigames that are unavailable showing on /events.
4. Fixed /f show not working for offline players.
5. Fixed /duel requests being canceled when hit in a safezone.
6. Fixed /f shields protecting claims connected to warzone.
